Somatic Healing is a method for treating stress, shock trauma and developmental trauma. It is a psycho-biological method for healing the symptoms of chronic trauma.
Through the use of Somatic Healing it is possible to release traumatic shock, which is a key factor for change in people with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder ( PTSD) and those who have experienced damage from emotional and developmental trauma. The method recognizes and encourages the body's innate ability to heal itself from trauma, and it does so slowly and at the pace of the client.
